First of all, I like Walmart. I enjoy the atmosphere, the ease of shopping and the prices. But I have to say that I continue to be frustrated during each trip I make for groceries at this particular Walmart. I usually do my shopping 2-4 times a month, and each time I go, they are always out of main staple items. First it was eggs. Almost everything had been picked through, and only a few less choicy ones remained. Then it was ice cream. I snapped pictures on my cell phone of bare and completely empty freezers all the way down the entire isle. Breyers was completely empty. Ben and Jerry's was completely empty. Magnum had a few boxes scattered here and there. And even some of the generic things were completely gone. Then this morning around 10am, they were out of almost every single milk product other than the generic kind. Soy milk, gone.organic milk, gone. Chocolate milk, gone! It doesn't matter if I shop in the morning, or at night, they always seem to be out of something... And not just little things here and there, but main staple foods. If they'd keep on top of the food section of this Walmart, it might not be too bad otherwise.
But now I'm contemplating shopping at a different Walmart because even though it's further away, I might actually be saving gas by not having to make multiple trips each time I have to go back for something as simple as milk that was out of stock.
And this is a shame, because otherwise this might be a great Walmart. Customer service is great (not perfect, but pretty darn good). It's clean. The prices are good, and over all I can find what I need and get out of there, other than the food side.
