I have been fraudulently charged for 3 years of Essentials Gold service that was never authorized by me. I discovered this accidentally when a piece of mail caught my eye with "your membership is about to be renewed." What membership?
When I contacted them, they tried to sell me on a service I hadn't been using and didn't know I had been paying for for three years. When confronted, Citibank played dumb initially and then confessed to having a partnership with Essentials Gold. Because of the age of the charges, they have refused to refund the initial two years of unauthorized charges.
I have seen at least 12 other descriptions of such abuses by Citibank, and I feel that a class action lawsuit should be considered.
