My mother was involved in an auto accident on 9/11. With me being stopped at a light, this car from nowhere was flying through the intersection and plowed right into me. I started to experience pain right away. The police were called and took a report, and then I rushed to the emergency room. The doctors prescribed me medication, muscle relaxers, for my pain.
Later, my insurance adjuster looked at the bumper of my car and found almost $700 worth of damage. A week later Allstate sent its adjuster. Like always, they lied about the damage and gave me only $344 of the $700 my adjuster had found.
I then went to my doctor, and he ordered an MRI, which found that I had disc bulges, and my doctor said that this is evidence that they are from the car accident. My attorney quit for no reason now that I have evidence against Allstate. Two years ago my attorney wanted $40,000, but when Allstate got back, they wanted to settle for only $7,000.
My attorney was to get 40%, so that would leave me with nothing, and Allstate expects me to pay my own medical bills. Allstate is supposed to pay my medical bills separately from my settlement. Then my attorney quit on me. He was supposed to file court action against Allstate. It is just a big mess for me.
I did get a new attorney. This time there is enough evidence against Allstate, and he has filed for court action. This time my new lawyer is seeking $74,000. Like always, Allstate does not want to give anything. This time it is $9,000. After my attorney's fees, this would leave me with nothing. This is what Allstate wants: for me to have no money for the pain and suffering and undue stress I have had to deal with for the past 3 years.
Their lawyer said this is a fair amount and Allstate will not go any higher. I have refused and am taking it to court. They have no right to treat me like this because there is evidence against them. They have dangled this for 3 years now because they are determined to fight this all the way so that I will not get any money.
I am tired of their abuse and suffering. This accident has changed my life. All I did was go out and get something to eat, and this is what I get: abuse and pain and suffering for no fault of her own.
I am hoping the court will rule in my mother's favor and give her more money than what Allstate is offering, for the abuse and mental anguish I have suffered. My attorney quit on me, but luckily I got a new attorney who is working to get me more money. I am not going to let Allstate push me around with only $9,000 and leave me with nothing. This is what Allstate wants, but they are not going to abuse me any longer. I took it all this time, and I will not take it any longer!
Allstate is terrible. I am glad people made a website for people to tell how they have been ripped off and abused by Allstate, but never give up. We will come out on top in the end. Allstate needs a class action lawsuit against it for how it does not want to give people any money when its insured injures them. We are not metal; we are flesh and bone, which Allstate thinks is just a piece of metal that can be damaged. I will not stand for any more of Allstate's abuse!
People do not like it when you complain or report a bad business or insurance company; they will make people think that you are lying and that you are crazy. Businesses and insurance companies are worried about one thing: trying to cover up or get away with everything.
Allstate has refused to pay my mother for this, which has been going on for 6 years, and Allstate is trying everything in its power to get out of paying, with no end in sight.
We are also tired of being the victims here of these insurance companies who refuse to pay for our pain and suffering. We will not let them get away with it, and people can attack us and insult us and cause trouble for me for speaking out against this horrible experience with Allstate, who is trying to ruin our lives.
It is our job to bring out bad businesses that are out to steal and abuse people.
