A company rang, purporting to phone on behalf of Microsoft, informing me that a company called AAMMYY that had charged me 144.99 pounds was not representative of Microsoft but was pretending. They said they would get my money back from that company if I paid them $200. They obtained access to my computer using a program called Datasafe and removed all the icons relating to AAMMYY except one called MALWARE. They said they would send me an e-mail confirming my payment immediately, but I have not received it yet.
I do not know how they can refund the 144.99 pounds, because they say the site I paid my money to was deleted immediately after they received it. The phone numbers I was given were unobtainable when I rang them. They were 016077231168 and 02501148018.
