On 12/25 there was an unauthorized use of my Green Dot prepaid debit card. I contacted Green Dot and canceled my card. When I asked how long it would take to get my money back (I spoke with Almar STL9), he said 1, 2, 3, 10 days before I could even dispute the transaction, or until it posted. On 01/06 I faxed a copy of the Cardholder Dispute Form to Green Dot.
I had just bought the card at Rite Aid in Morro Bay, Calif. 93442 for $5 and added another $100. By the time I got home, my card had an unauthorized charge of $90.54, so I called GD and canceled the card. I want to list Green Dot as a perpetrator of fraud, as well as BoundlessPVT. Green Dot does not even list its phone number or address on its web page, and even if you can figure out how to contact them, it seems to me they are fraudulent in part as to my money being stolen. When I asked how long it would take to get my money back, I just about flipped out. What can I do to charge these scammers with my lost, stolen money? So now I am out the $100, the $5 purchase of the card and $3 fax cost. Please advise me what to do. And they charged me a reissue fee.
Please help stop this from happening to United States citizens. I am having a hard enough time as it is without being ripped off for money I do not have. Someone has to put a stop to their scam.
