The Petco in Cedar Hill, Texas, is horrible. They have a bather, or bathers, working there now who treat your animal depending on their mood that day. Services are charged to the customer that do not get done, and the customer never knows because we do not tell them and they do not check. I was previously a groomer at Petco, and we were told to never tell a customer that their dog was hyper or a little hard to groom. We are to always say your pet was great! Management is made aware of these things and ignores them, as Petco is only interested in making sales. Bathers get 40% and groomers get 50%, so the more extra services we offer, the more money we make.
Your dogs are called "stupid" and "dumb" and are yelled at if they do not cooperate. There are no cameras, so you cannot see into the bathing area, and every groomer in there (except me, because I left) lies and covers up. Also, if you, the customer, pay for a shedless or a nail file/dremel, you should receive that service. A shedless is 30 minutes of extra brushing on your dog in addition to the 15 that come with the bath.
Please do not help this store make money on the mistreatment of your animal. I spoke up about these issues, and hence I am no longer there. I am trying to warn others before their animals have this experience.
