Medicare had signed me up for drug coverage through not one company but two of them, without telling me. After a few months I started getting bills from an insurance company (Unicare). The bill is for around $500.00. They also signed me up for the same coverage through Blue Shield, which has not billed me for anything. I have called and written to Unicare 2 or 3 times a month, and last month they said they had cancelled the coverage. This month I got another bill!!
I have since signed up with Humana, which continuously sends advertisements to my home.
Humana had promised me that they would make sure the Unicare coverage would be cancelled and that I wouldn't have to pay the bill from them. Her biggest thing was that she promised if we ever had a problem with Humana to call her cell phone and she would be here within 24 hours. The first time I called her to ask a question, she was very mean, told me to get an attorney, and hung up the phone. My question was why I was still getting bills from Unicare. And the bill continues to go up every month!!!
