Fter following their instructions and h getting the runaround from PayPal some more I finally got someone et EBay to say that they would look into it.
(they never did).
PayPal found out that the seller and I had no problems and there was no longer a reason to investigate anything. You know why??? PayPal found out that it was over thirty days since the seller reported that had completed the transaction with me and that meant that there was no existing reason to be investigating this matter - In other words PayPal was exercising their right to drop the matter and not even look into the fact that the only REAL PROBLEM is that one of their people illegally ordered an item on my credit card (which makes the problem an INTERNAL ONE at PayPal, but they now can pass it off because of the "thirty day" cut off rule.
My Complaint is - because PayPal is obviously always able to cover up such activities - I have asked that they close my account with them and they refuse to close it unless I provide them with my new Credit card account number. There is no way that I will give my new card information to them so that they could pull this scam again and I believe that they must close my account at my request.
How can I get them to just close the account?
