About 2 years ago we received a letter from CitiMortgage stating that I owe back taxes on our house. We faxed the tax info to CitiMortgage showing that taxes have been paid since 1987. Two months later, Citibank sent a letter stating we didn't have insurance on the account and that Citibank paid our insurance. Again we faxed over the insurance coverage, showing the house has been insured since 1987.
Two months later we got another letter from Citibank stating we don't have flood insurance, and again we faxed over a copy of the flood insurance. A couple of months later we got another letter from Citibank stating our payments were late, when all payments were on time and paid by check 2 weeks before the mortgage was due.
Citibank has stated that they put an escrow account on my loan for no insurance, when proof was shown that all taxes and insurance were paid. Now Citibank wants to send an adjuster to my home to review the property for foreclosure when they have all the info showing everything is paid.
I feel that Citibank is committing fraud in so many ways by stating we owe them over $5,000.00 when all proof was submitted that we owe nothing.
