I recently moved into my house and received a notice from Reliance Home Comfort that they are charging me around $100 for account setup fees. I called them and told them I wanted the tank gone, at which point they offered to sell me the tank for $240.
It turns out the tank is 12 years old and full of settlement. It would take three times as long as a new tank to heat up. I am pretty sure the fuel costs are higher than the rental costs, so where is the value there?
I called them on July 26 to come pick up their tank, which ended up being a phone tag situation, so I have decided to charge them storage fees.
