I have had a Hotmail account for many years with no problems. Then suddenly last October all my e-mail was wiped off my account by the Hotmail staff. The reason: they said I had not visited my account within 30 days. This was not true. I visit it weekly, and I had just had an airline ticket sent there that I could not get.
I signed up again for my account, which they still had minus my e-mails. However, I kept getting a message to sign up for the $19.95 service that would exempt me from the time limit and give me more space. Then it happened again. I logged on to my Hotmail account and all the e-mail was wiped out. I have used my account within the 30 days and can prove it, since I e-mail myself messages from my Hotmail account to my Roadrunner account. The dates are clear. They just want you to sign up for the $19.95 service, which I did. I still have no more space on my account than before. I was ripped off. Do not use Hotmail, and do not sign up for the pay service.
