This was my first and probably my last shopping experience with a Yahoo store, Purplus.
Yahoo Stores does not want to take responsibility for the content and practices of its shop owners. It seems they just want to make money, a common problem these days.
Why is the link "Contact Us to Report Store Abuse" not front and center? I am tired of consumers being taken advantage of.
I wanted to contact Yahoo regarding the business practices of one of its e-stores, not that it would make a difference. It took over half an hour to find an email address for "Contact Us to Report Store Abuse." And then? This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed.
So that is why I am here, airing dirty laundry with the public. I understand many consumers may be a pain, but many more are not.
Yahoo has shops that sell outdated software, misleading the customer into a sale. They are hoping a customer is not going to make a stink about a meager $9. How many customers do they take for 9 bucks? I bet it all adds up to a pretty profit for them.
Software manufacturers are left to deal with the disappointed customers. According to the company that manufactured the software I purchased, this is a common problem.
Purplus is selling outdated software. They are fraudulently advertising software that is not compatible with systems. They will not refund your money. They will request that you send the software back so they can review the situation and then decide whether you should receive a refund. Ha! Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you.
