(aka David Bloomfield Software) Distortions about competitors found completely untrue after thorough check

I was looking into buying some First Name Software to supplement my home business and found this company, Bloomfield Software among others. I was particularly interested in Bloomfield and another company, Ken Kirkpatrick Software.

I like to do my homework b/4 I buy and on Bloomfield's site there is a reference to another site, ShopandCompareBiz. It doesn't take a genius to figure out this manufactured site is an advertisement for Bloomfield and its sole purpose is to slam his competitors. I never trust any merchant who spends his whole time running-down his competition. Anyway this site makes some serious accusations about "dangerous downloads" from his competitor, Ken Kirkpatrick Software. Well, being a good little shopper, I called Ken Kirkpatrick Software, talked with the owner and found out the truth, which I confirmed myself as true.

The Yahoo search engine along with McAfee "tags" any site that distributes any software that might contain viruses, malware, etc. This applies to the site, not any particular individual piece of software. Turns out Ken Kirkpatrick Software distibutes "try-before-you-buy" copies of his software on many of these "shareware" sites. Some of these sites accept just about anything including software that *does* contain viruses. There is a popup on Yahoo when flagged on these sites. Mr. Kirkpatrick suggested that I follow the link for more info on the pop-up, so I did. He was right, the *site* is being flagged for dangerous downloads *not* Ken Kirkpatrick's Software which was *not* on the list by McAfee.

So one can plainly see that Bloomfield is exploiting the flagged site inferring that Ken Kirkpatrick Software is dangerous by association. It simply is not true. So I called back to Ken KIrkpatrick Software and bought their programs, as I will not deal with companies with such blatant bad ethics as Bloomfield Software. Shame on them. One can only hope they will remove this false and misleading garbage, but hopefully if I can help one other person, the that's a good thing.
