Reliance Home Comfort
Furnace repair delayed five days in freezing weather

1. Since day 1 of my service with Reliance, I have always received poor service. First, your agent told me I would get a $2000 refund if I bought the service I have right now, but then they needed proof of my old furnace motor to give me that money the agent told me about. How can I show that when they took my old furnace, since this agent did not tell me anything about this procedure? I also needed to pay 300 to qualify for that refund, for inspections. None of this was explained to me properly until I called the office, because I was waiting for the check.

2. Every year I have a filter change service. Why do you send a technician into my house without a filter and light, since that is what they are supposed to do every year and that is what my service includes? They come and check, then come back the next day and drop the filter and light by my door. It will end up that I myself am the one changing the filter and the light.

3. And now this last one. My furnace broke on a Monday morning. I called their service to fix it, and they said they would be coming the next day around 10 am - 2 pm. They showed up in the morning, found out the furnace motor was broken, and said they would order parts and come back on Wednesday morning. It was already Wednesday evening and still no one had shown up. I was trying to contact your office to confirm whether your service people were coming, but no one answered my calls.

Finally, the guy showed up around 5 pm. I expected him to have all the parts ready because he had said he would order them. He checked the furnace and, according to him, he needed to order two more parts. I do not appreciate your very poor service. My family and I had to sleep in the house cold in -41 degrees weather for five days. This has to get resolved.

Your company name is Reliance, which should mean reliable, and then Home Comfort, but where is the comfort if you do not have emergency service? I hope you will take action on this report.
