At approx. 9:30 AM with Carol Costello and weather person Alexandra. Discussion centered on why so many die with advanced warning systems of today. Implication was people don`t pay attention to warnings and thus it`s their fault if they die. My thoughts: even with the 13.5 minute warning can people reach shelter? How many shelters and how far apart was never discussed. Also, Missouri poorest state and no basements in homes in the South. Hiding in bathtub no help with powerful storm. Very narrow, self serving to the weather profession. Why not discuss things that people should have but do not exist such as tornado beepers on one`s waist that directs to nearest shelter. Alexandra should apologize to familys affected.
