I received Uverse as a Christmas gift. We used a local digital cable company for 15 or more years before beginning this service. We have hesitated to subscribe because of the higher cost and because of the lack of feedback on how well it works, but the features attracted me, so I asked for it for Christmas.
So far, our experience with this new service has been mixed. We have had several glitches with access to channels, disconnections, difficulty adjusting picture to fit TV screen, etc. Every time we have a glitch, we think maybe we have made a mistake in choosing this service. But every time we have called for assistance, we have had immediate, pleasant, skilled technical support which has resolved the problem within a few minutes to a few hours.
The features of watching recorded programs easily, setting up recording from our PC, and the number of available channels are worth a little inconvenience, and we will stick with this service as long as we feel it is worth the trouble and expense.
