I had DirecTv for the better of 12 years. The other dish providers were constantly at my door, in my mailbox, etc... Offering their free items - I declined them every time. DirecTv did not make any attempt to maintain my status as a customer and each time I called them to let them know that the other providers were circling their wagons, they made no offer of free anything to retain me. I eventually dropped them, after 12 years. Now that I am no longer a loyal customer, I *am eligible for the free DVR and HD packages, etc...
But to my point - I have a credit balance and I have been waiting for this "refund" for at least 8 weeks... Thats two (2) months - how about if I paid my bill to them over the cousre of my 12 years in "6 to 8 weeks"... That is when they are telling me to expect my money! I have called time and time again and have found that I am only able to speak to a customer service representative and now having wasted time and energy in trying to get an honest response from a dishonest company who hides behind scrpited responses from call center personnel who are trained to ONLY use those responses, I STILL do not have my refund. I was able to get an Escalation number and a number for a supposed "Refund Department" but this results in a auto-answer from a fax machine - once again they hold true to their misleading and dodging ways...
I will NEVER sign an agreement with this organization again and warn anyone who is considering DirecTv as their provider, to seek an alternate, less expensive route.
Extremely put off at the way they treat (rather - fail to treat) their customers - I was with them for over a decade and they continue to stall and strong-arm me even after our agreement has terminated.
