This non-existent entity sends fake checks (or "cheques"!) to poor neighborhoods saying "We have attempted contacting you on several occasions."
Everything about the scam is fake. The phony check, the ersatz blue ink signature, the bad English, the play on "US Airways, the bulk-rate postage, the bad lines of salesmanship — all without saying how they hope to take your money. On telephoning, one gets to hear the fake English accent on the telephone recording, the long wait, and finally, how they fail to answer the phone.
