Received a Final Notice voucher that looks like a check for the amount of $1298.00

Received a "Award Notification" RE: Final Notice Check Number: VC-24507 with a document made to look like a check. There are too many numbers in the routing and account number to be a real check and there is no bank information. The "Check" is made out to "American Airways" on my behalf and signed by Sue Hall, void after 30 days.

On The stubit uses Vacation Getaways and Cruises are available for a limited time. It specifically states "This is not a timeshare of land sales offer". It asks me to call 1-866-955-4816 and reference check voucher number VC-24507 and it states this travel check must be certified to be valid. When I attempted to call the number, it rang once and would not connect.

There is no company called American Airways (There is an American Airlines). I have not received any correspondences from this company prior to this although it states "We have attempted contacting you on serveral occasions".
