Horrible U-Box Experience - UBOX Storage

My husband and I recently moved across the country for and internship - like, temporary position (from NC to OR). We did not want to pay to have our belongings moved out here immediately if we don't stay in OR, so we looked at both PODS and the U-Box. We found that two U-boxes offered more space and for less cost than PODS so we went with them. The boxes seemed to be poorly built but since they were covered in a tarp and would be stored inside they would be adequate. Everything went fine until our first month's auto pay was due to go through. U-haul just couldn't seem to get it right. They would only bill us for one of our boxes (we had two) and not the other causing us to to be penalized late fees. This happened for at least three months and it was dealt with every time, so we didn't have to pay the late fees. The problem, however, was not fixed until I was back for a visit in NC and went into the store personally to fix it myself. After this the billing went on well and worked out, until two months later and I see a charge on my debit account from u-haul for $1300!! I called the business immediately and was directed to the call center first. They were very polite but tried to tell me to call a different number. I had to say no, that I needed to speak with someone who could take care of this immediately. They transferred me to the store where my U-boxes are being stored. I spoke with a worker there who told me that my boxes were charged 660 dollars each because they were being shipped to OR. I had not called to request that they be shipped or scheduled any shipping so I demanded that I be refunded and that I talk to the manager. The manager explained that a mistake had been made and someone elses boxes were supposed to be shipped... How that happens, I don't know. Luckily MY U-boxes had not left the building yet and I would be refunded the total amount. I asked for at least a month's free rent and they gave it to me. It's two days later and the money is not back in my account yet. Using the U-boxes has been more of a hassle than it is worth. Although the company has tried to make things right, I'm more worried about the effect of their faults on my credit score and bank account.
