You get a call with news that you won a free cruise and airfare, with no obligation to buy anything. To redeem, you must attend a 90 minute sales presentation to learn about their services. You must bring a drivers license and credit card to verify your identity. You must bring your spouse and an invoice or other document as proof that you are a couple. Everyone is screened and shows ID to be granted entry. You must make an up-front contract that when the presentation is over, you will decide to buy or not to buy - but you promise not to leave them hanging by saying you will go home to think about it.
The presentation is very upbeat and interactive and goes like this: Pacific Palms has been in business approximately 20 years and is the largest wholesale travel company. They are the "Cosco of the travel industry." If you shop at Orbitz or other travel retailer, you will pay prices that are marked-up by three separate entities in the resale chain.
