On 1/8, I bidded for a 3.5 star hotel on priceline and my bid was accepted by the Millenium Hotel in Durham, NC. When I reviewed what others have said about this hotel right after my bid was accepted, I realized that the Millenium was no 3.5 star hotel. Not even 30mins after my bid was accepted, I contacted priceline and informed them that the hotel had horrible reviews and some were very concerning to me due to my health. Mainly, several people stated the hotel had mold in the showers and rooms, musty and damp. I also noted to priceline that some reviews stated the hotel had bed bugs, no cell service, and charged $10 for internet service. I was told by priceline customer service in so many words, sorry, we cannot do anything for you. I kept calling and emailing and finally they said someone will review the case. The result of their review? Sorry, we cannot do anything for you. We called the hotel and they said they do not have bed bugs. They never addressed any of my other concerns. I replied that I will not be staying at the hotel and for them to send me an email that I have cancelled and I will not be charged any other fees from the $397 they already took from my account. Priceline refused.
Do not use priceline!!! I wish the attorney general's office in CT will investigate this company.
