I am sure tons of people were ripped off by this consumer internet fraud. I purchased a vacation package for a cruise and it came with coupon for 2 to 3 nights free stay at your destination. Confirmation of cruise came FROM ANOTHER COMPANY NOT I WAS NOT INVOLVED WITH with note saying within four weeks, coupon for free stay will arrive - (note just enough time you can't dispute billing with charge card company).
One month passes. Contacted cheaptickets.com and OUR VACATION CENTER notifying them no coupon came. Aapologizes and said will be mailed asap. Another month passes. Called same response.
Another month goes by. Called again. Same response. Called four months down the road, said they couldn't do anything about it. Sorry, something about I was *inbetween computer systems? *
Sent emails, etc. Contacted attorney general and BBB and got a certificate finally that was no good as I filed with this stupid website www.redeemavacation.com and never heard anything back (check it out - its a dead end site).
What a rip-off scam. Anyone else had this problem notify the BBB of Our Vacation Center in Nevada and attorney general in Nevada - also notify BBB and attorney general of New Jersey where cheaptickets.com headquarters resides. So much for coupon worth $450.
