Ok I live in Kissimmee, Fl in the Poinciana area. I took myself and my 8 yr old daughter to Disneyworld I believe it was the 9th of April. We were dropped off and were going to take a cab home.
Before hand I had researched cab companies and Mear's transportation look to be a very reputable company. So I put their number into my phone.
After a long day we left the part at about 1130pm. Found where the cabs pick up and I told the driver I needed to go to Poinciana would that be ok. He said no problem no problem, can you give me directions. I said yes and told him to go to Poinciana Blvd and it was all the way down.
Now Poinciana Blvd is about 5 miles from Disney and we had to drive down 14 miles on Poinciana Blvd and my house is about 4 miles from there. So were talking about 26 miles altogether.
Well about 7 miles into Poinciana Blvd the driver starts to ask me how much further so I tell him it is just under 30 miles altogether. He starts telling me it is too far to go at night and where can he let me out. I say I told you how far it was before we started you can let me out at my house.
On Poinciana Blvd it is dark and there is a lot of nothing but it comes out to a big road. The driver was acting as if I was going to rob him he kept asking me if it was a house or an apartment and was it lit. Then kept telling me it was too far to drive.
Finally I told him to let me out at Publix which was like 2 miles from my house. I had already called my husband and asked him to meet me there. I paid my fare but no tip which surprised the driver who had the nerve to ask for a tip. I told him if he could not take me all the way he did not get a tip.
I immediately called the dispatch and told them what had happened and they did not take any of my information or offer to compensate me in anyway. They said that there is no such thing as to far and the driver should not have acted that way and that they would talk to him.
So between the driver and the customer service on the phone I don't feel as if the company really cared and I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone visiting central FL
