I searched many sites over several hours to find the cheapest international flight. After much effort I found a flight with Travelocity for $1,860. When I attempted to book the ticket the website crashed on me, I called customer service to ensure that my credit card did not go through, and whether or not I should attempt to book again (I did not want to get charged twice). My card had not gone through so I tried again, and once again the website crashed. Again I tried to book the same flight, and I got an error message stating that "the transaction could not go through; try again later." After several more attempts I called the customer service line a second time, after much confusion, the representative told me the flight was no longer available. I explained to him the only reason it was no longer available was because the website crashed on me twice, he said he would find a comparable flight. Several minutes later he came back on the line and explained the details of the "comparable flight". Then he nonchalantly told me the price; $2,406 and without hesitation asked if I would like to book it now. Of course I did not book it, almost $550 more, I will never use Travelocity again. I went with Orbitz, I had a pleasant experience there for a much lower price ($1,560) as long as I left a day later.
