Car break in - Sheraton Hotels

I stayed at the Aneheim Sheraton on Disneyland Ave for three days, from 3/19/10 to 3/22/10. On the 2ns night my car was broken into, I spoke to the hotel management who was of little help. I requested that thing make an insurance claim and pay for repairing my window. The hotel management declined to take any responsibility and sited the verbiage on the back of the parking ticket as a defense. I made a police report and the officer taking the report told us that there are car break-ins at this location often. We also spoke to the hotel employee who was cleaning the broken glass that there are break - ins at this hotel two to three times a week. It seems to me that the hotel has a responsibility to tell quest of the break -in at the very least. Guest staying here should have at a minimum know that they and their cars will be safe. I then called Starwood s customer service and was treated rudely and without compasion. Your customer service was unconnected with the reality at the hotel, they stated that they had reviewed the security tapes and saw no unusal activity, that the hotel would do nothing and that I had no further action or allow me to escalate to your management. I then asked them if my only recourse was to take legal action. The customer service person used this as an excuse to end the call, she indicated she could no longer talk to me and hung up the phone.
