Ripoff deplorable and rude

I was contacted in late April or early May (I'm not sure when but the money was taken out of my account on the 2nd of May) by Ramada Resorts on the telephone offering me a vacation package. I was sent the certificates and video shortly thereafter.

It was posed as a trip for around $700 that could be split between
several people. A few days in Fl, a cruise to the Bahamsas and back
to Fl for a few days (a total of 10-14 days). The trip is good for up to 18 mos and then can be extended.

Recently, I had considered going on the trip with friends but it didn't work out. This summer I may be taking another trip and unable to go.instead of continuously putting it off I decided to check into getting a refund.

I had recently heard about a lot of scams and rip offs and on a whim checked out Ripoff reports' website. I saw some very sad news about this company. I decided that right away I needed to get my money back before this gets out of control.

I tried to call them this morning. I was connected right away and explained that I hadn't taken the trip yet and just wanted a refund. I was put on hold for a considerable amount of time. When I finally spoke with customer service representative Staci x 4052 I explained to her that I had planned on using it this summer, had cancelled the plans and will probably not use it w/in the next 18 mos and that I'd just like a full refund.

Her attitude became very sharp and she tried to "help me manage my time". She kept asking how often I make time to travel etc., further more when I resisted and insisted that I just wanted my money back since I haven't used the package nor made any specific plans that used the money yet, and that I just want a refund, she then had the audacity to question me about "what this was really about" and kept telling me that I can make time to take the trip and needed to. I promptly informed her that it was none of her business how I use my time I haven't taken the trip or made plans yet and just want the money back and am trying to do this diplomatically.

Finally, she gave me some song and dance about not being able to honor a deposit that has already been dispersed (I haven't made travel arrangements yet, how can it be dispersed?). At the end of my conversation she asked if she had satisfied my customer needs and I said no. She then told me she could put me onto another person and I said, I'm a schoolteacher, I don't have time for this, I've got to go back to class.

I tried getting my money back by talking to them, the cusotmer service representative very rude and disagreeable. Please help me get my money refunded. I want nothing more to do with these belligerent people.
