Several years ago I went on a day trip0 to Playa del Carmen off a cruise ship. We ended up at the Fishermans Village listening to a Time Share presentation. The salesman who said he was Canadian (we are Cdn) made up an offer in Cdn funds ona timeshare and told us several things and we were sucked in and signed. When we arrived home we looked at the contract and noticed several discrepencies in what we were told and what was in the contract. Over the years we have tried to book but were unable to get our weeks, we were told our weeks would be rented out and we would get the monies for those rented weeks. Never received a cent. A few years ago, frustrated with never getting what we wanted in terms of weeks, we decided to stop paying the fees. We spent 12,000 dollars and have never been to the resort. Now we are getting calls from a collection agency demanding fees. We can't even cancel the contract. Beware of these scam artists
