Ramada Plaza Resorts, Vacation Village, Bahama Celebration Cruise Line
Bahama celebration we asked while on the phone if this is a time share vacation and were told NO by the operato

My complaint is centered on the fact the reservations clerk was asked specifically if this 5 day offer was a time share related vacation. The answer was no, but suddenly there were costs involved that added up to $700 plus the ships fees. The ship didn't go where we thought it was going, Nassau, but instead Grand Bahama island. A world of difference I can tell you.
The Ramada Resort is a poorly refurbished hotel that really surprised us that Ramada allows it's name on it.
The ship is an old European car carrier with the top 7 floors set up for cruises, it is unstable in even calm seas and made a lot of people sick. Had one hot tub and forget the pool, it was for wading and kids, no swimming. The food was not that great, but not terrible either, just bland buffet food.
Don't get me wrong, The ship was pretty clean, the room was large, the help very friendly as far as ships go. We enjoyed ourselves just fine. But don't expect a star on the hotel, or a great review on the cruise. It was OK. Booze kept us happy and the people were all very nice.
The part that I don't like is the deceptive way they market the thing, go to the website and find where it says you have to go to a timeshare presentation. And I bet you get just as rude a person if you bother calling to complain about anything. They told us we would have to pay full price for the cruise, a ridiculous $3000 or more, and that we should be nice and polite to the help desk, actually scolded us for being mad at being lied to.
Just beware, its cheaper now, the timeshare is easy to deal with just a waste of time, the ship is OK as long as you have money for drinks and munchies, and don't get seasick. Take it, but don't expect a great vacation, it is cheap for a reason.
