Beware! These lost souls have practiced selling their character out for your deposit. Even if you do what is asked of you, or more you will be denied your refund!!! They are hiding behind a calculated scheme that you will forget to send them a registared letter stating you would like your refund.
One week before the refund request was due I called RealtyTrade at the number listed on their website (www.RealtyTrade.com) on behalf of my father, because he couldn't read the print on his contract. I spoke to an Xavier, nice enough he told me that I needed to send a hand written letter requesting a refund within the 10 day window stated on the contract. I told him that I had already emailed, our contact person listed on the contract and every email on their site to no response, and that I had faxed my fathers request to a non-working fax line (the one on the contract). Xavier gave me the new fax line. That number is 1-321-206-8680. I asked for his extension and he gave it to me. I asked when the 10 days started and Xavier informed me that the contract refund would be eligible for the 4th of May to the 14th. I informed him that we have had no offer on the property and he asked to look up the listing. I gave him the number and he informed me that we had 4 people that were interested in it and were waiting on fianancing for a couple as we speak. I asked if there was any way of verifying that and he said "NO"
I then told him that I had done a little searching prior to calling and that TradeRealty has a terrible reputation and is listed in the "complaint" and that I was aware of their scam. Xavier then told me that RealtyTrade.com had settled with all those that complained. I told Xavier I would be sending in all the information starting on Monday.
And I did... As of May 4th I sent in a fax (copy of the letter my father hand wrote) a day for 3 days to the number 321-206-8680 and I asked for a confirmation each time. Fax, email, and personal phone. To date no confirmation!!!
So today I called.
Here is how it goes...
I get Angela as some others here have to. And I explained my situation. Her first and only response was a well rehearsed response..."Your request is past due date, all we can offer you is to list your property for 6 months more (and if you read the contract they will do this for your refund money... Case closed!!!)."
I responded that I had talked with someone earlier, she asked whom... I didn't recall, and I didn't have the information in front of me... And she mentioned that all she had in front of her on screen was the information she had been given by the processing dept. I found out later that it was April the 29th with Xavier.
I then stated I had sent in a fax for 3 days and she restated her response, again... I asked her to listen to me and she started over again with the same answer. I asked her how many times had she had this conversation today and it stumped her. Angela stopped long enough for me to ask her again. She said "I haven't today" so I asked her how many times she had had this rehearsed conversation this month! Angela then stated "I don't have to reveal that information to me".

I then asked for the number to RealtyTrade.com legal department. Angela then started over with the same response and I interrupted her and asked for her number and extension number (1-800-420-9865 ext. 420). After that I asked Angela how she liked herself working for a company that scams people out of their money, elderly people at that. I mentioned that I had read about her on "Usa Consumer Complaints.com" and she got angry and asked me if I knew who owned usacomplaints.com? I said, I didn't and then she burst out that she could fill out a complaint on me on usacomplaints.com... I said do so I haven't scammed anyone!
Angela started her practiced rhetorical response..."We have no record of your letter, did you send it registared?" I said "no, it didn't need to be registared to be accepted as legal." I meantioned that I would seek legal council and Angela said "go ahead"
I then asked for a supervisor and was put on hold. I hung up -called back and got an answering machine. I called again and got a hold of Chris... Nice enough guy... So he looks up my listing # and informs me that I just got off the phone call with Angela. Chris immediately starts the same rehearsed response." You are outside the window of asking for a refund..." I stop him and tell him that a letter was sent on the forth and faxed for the next 3 days... Again, "did you registar the letter if not then we cannot prove you are lying" I mentioned that I had no reason to lie with witnesses and proof of sent and recieved fax confirmations to which he replied "it wouldn't matter now the time is passed." I asked Chris how he felt about his career choice scamming people. Chris didn't answer. I asked to speak to the infamous Supervisor "GINA". What a piece of work this woman is.
Gina started off fine, pulled up our records and told me that it was Xavier that I had talked with on the 29th or April. I informed her of the dates that Xavier gave me and that I and my father did all that was asked of us. GINA informs me that Xavier was fired last week for reasons she could not disclose. GINA asks me where did I send the letter and asks for an address. I read it verbitm off of my letter to her and she informs me that I am being recorded. Then she trys to stump me on the address and fails. I state that I sent the letter US Postal and all she can say is... You got it..."Did you send it registared? I then asked is that how you get out of this by me not being able to prove I sent it or you proving that you received it? Pause...
GINA informs me that she will gladly list our property for another 6 months (again, if we agree we forfeit the deposit) and GINA informs me that I can get a program for extended viewing on their site. Any you believe the gall of these people!!! I raise my voice and ask her if she is trying to sell me something!!! GINA says "NO" Then tells me that is my only option, and she is being nice by offering it. GINA tells me I have until Monday to decide.
Thus leading me here, on my next crusade to inform and expose these miserable hopless souls... Now on to the Florida Attorney General...
