With Caribbean Cruises, ESPECIALLY Dorian. This company takes every possible cent from your pocket

There is a lot more information that I am not including on here, because I do not have the time or patience at the moment. Also, If you just want the basics, just read the last paragraph.

My first week's check, I can't fully complain about. I got $153, but they take out $20 "booth rent" every week. Two problems with that. I only worked three days, and you don't HAVE a booth. You are literally NOT ALLOWED to sit at the same booth regularly. They strictly "advise" against us staying in the same place and "getting comfortable". Also taken from my check was the $60 for the headset. Mind you, they did tell us this. I was not surprised by the missing money... Completely. However, The headset they gave me hardly worked, I couldn't hear what the other person was saying. I was afraid to ask for a new one, because I couldn't afford to lose another $60, not to mention that if they decided it was my fault, it would have been $120.

The next week, I worked 28 hours. I made two sales, for which you get commission for both, I think... I am not too sure on how this aspect works, it was never made clear to me. Then again, that's what they rely on. They count on you not knowing exactly how things work or how much money you are supposed to get, so that they can take money from you. Anyway, so I quit that Friday. I talked to Raquel, who was very understanding and helpful. She said to take the day, see if I wanted to quit. So I did. And I did not want to go back. I called the next day and "the people in charge of that were not there". So I called back on Tuesday, my next scheduled day. They put in the computer that my reason for leaving was transportation, because I decided to be nice and not go into all the details about what is wrong with their company. ANYWAYanyway, I should have gotten a minimum of $253 on my last check, and what did I get? $90.62. Not even close. On my check, it says "guar-term", which I can only guess means that I was "terminated". Hmm... I'm sure I quit. I was there. I did it. The reason I can only guess what it means is...

When I quit, I waited until Friday, the day the checks would be ready, to go in to get my check. My mom later told me that after leaving a job, they have two days to give you your last check or they have to put it in the mail. But I went in on Friday, around seven or eight, with my mom. I asked the girl and Dorian where I can get my check, and Dorian immediately turns into this jerky, superior, know-it-all, telling me that I abnsolutely can not get my check unless I come in during "normal business hours" Ok, that's 9-5, got it. Still not allowed fair, or a good way to treat your employees. So I call back the next day to make sure that I can get it. The woman on the phone, Erin, Says "Mam, is this June Showalter (my mother)?" To which I said No, this is Kayla. I WORKED for this money and want it. And she gets defensive and jerky the same way Dorian did and told me that I had to come back during normal business hours Monday through Friday. Ok, I'm liking this less and less. My mom is a teacher, so it is hard for me to find a ride to the other side of town during the week before 5, but they refuse to make any sort of compromise. Tuesday, I finally make it out there, I have my past check in hand, plus a detailed sheet saying exactly how much I earned, and how much EXTRA they owed me. This was at 4:45."The person in charge of the checks is not here." Well, when will she be in?"Oh, I don't know, somewhere around ten or eleven tomorrow." Oh really? Well, that's not 9-5, now is it? It's more of... I'll be in when I feel like it. But my check looked okay, I was just going to drop it. Until I realized that, no, my check was not $163, which I could have dealt with. It was, as I said previously, $90.62. And the $70 commission on the second page of my check info? Non existent. As for how they got 90 dollars out of BARE MINIMUM of $183 is beyond me.

So I call today, to straighten everything out. I call at 2:30, and Veronica is not there. I call back (right now) to get her name. What do you know, shes back. She says to me "You were dropped to minimum wage because you did not make three sales for the week and you quit." Problem with that is, I remember all the papers I signed, and they said that you absolutely do not get dropped to minimum wage for your first two or three (not entirely sure which) so you can have time to adjust and get used to what you're pitching.

So, general overview:
-I got $90 from a $183 (MINIMUM) check
-I got dropped to minimum wage for an illegitimate reason
-They did not allow us to wear tshirts or sandals, you had to dress classy to... Not see anyone at all.
-They tell you to get your check at a designated time, and then do not give you a chance to contest the shenanigans behind why your check is bullshit.
-They tell you what to do in case of %, and then when you do that, they tell you that you are not allowed to do it that way.
-You pay an unfair amount for a headset you have to give back, and then they do not give you a full refund, only $20 out of the 60 you get taken from your first check.
-If you do not make them money, they do not help you.

These people care about nothing more in their sad little lives than making money off of your honest, hard work. These injustices are more prominent in some cases. Final point to make, I was sitting in the lobby one day, there was a huge line for the checks. This woman was there with her two small children who just wanted to go see their father. She was trying to pick up her previous $18 check. The woman in charge of the checks, veronica, was far too busy to get it for her, and she was late for her appointment and did not have time to take her kids to their dad's by the time she finally gave up and just left.
