We used Allorenta to get an apartment a 2 week stay. To make a long story short, the first appartment we booked was suddenly no longer not available the day before we were supposed to arrive. Fortunately we were able to book another right before we arrived.in the confusion, we wound up having to pay the appartment owner as well as Allorenta the same agancy fee (about 250 Euros) with a promise that we would get that back upon leaving.
I found out at the last minute that Allorenta requires payment via a bank transfer to a Swiss bank account. But they have no phone number or store front in France. I tried contacting them via their yahoo email numerous times and got nothing back but canned responses. Six months later, I never got back the money as promised and I was out the extra 250 Euros. My emails (the only way to contact Allorenta) were largely ignored. I'd say beware of these people. Maybe some people had OK experiences, but if anything goes wrong, it appears you'll have nowhere to turn to.
