RIVERS BEND INN GATLINBURG TN (the websites is at riverbendinnpigeonforge.com) - IMHO, It is a scummy hotel which is nasty.
It is ran by Indians, which of course is ok, however, I hate it when people come to this country to make money when they lie people about things, in order to get it.
ON the outside of Rivers bend inn, there was a sign stating, 'Brand New' nicest hotel here and that the it included free dolly wood tickets and the price was 70.00... Per night...
Well that was the first gimick! - They didn't have any single bed, single rooms available for 70.00 a night... But based on their parking lot, there was room... (HARDLY ANY CARS)
There was no free tickets to dolly wood... That too, was just a gimmick
Then we were put into a double bed room which was 120.00 per night. The mattresses didn't even have fitted sheets. They were to cheap to put fitted sheets on the mattresses.
It got worse.in this room with two beds, there were only one little bar of soap in the entire room. There was only one little, tiny pack of shampoo... (about a tablespoon worth of shampoo)
When the office was called to request more soap, I was told that If I wanted it, I would have to come down 5 floors to get it. Some room service!!!
The RIVERS BEND INN motel stunk. Yes, It stunk! - It wasn't brand new as stated, there were dust everywhere. I noticed a dirty rag stuck to the underside of the bed... I have no idea what it was there for but I was afraid to touch it.
The floors were stained real bad and dirty. The windows were just plain nasty.
Now, The swimming pool that is shown in their website, riverbendinnpigeonforge.com - It looks beautiful in pictures, all nice and clear.in real life it is so cloudy that you can't even see the bottom! - Just plain nasty!
The motel included free breakfast but based on everything in the motel, I was afraid to eat there. I didn't even eat anything in the snack machines.
The elevator didn't even have an inspection paper from the fire marshall or any inspector. This come to my attention as the elevator was making some very weird sounds...
The Rivers Bend Inn Sucks!
Oh, Yes - there was more... in the room, there was a envelope on the table. Which stated,
"thank you for staying with us"
"We hope that everything done for you has been to your satisfaction. Your housekeepers has tried real hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible."
"This evenvelope has been provided should you wish to leave something for your housekeepers efforts."
"Please come back and stay with us soon. It has been a pleasure to have you as our guest"
That is the first time I have every seen any motel try and scam additional money from it's guest in my life.
I guess this is just india's way of doing business. A type of business which should have been left in India!
