I drank the Coastal kool-aid and got all the way in. I recruited tons of people and even made some good money for a time.
Then the truth started surfacing.
The company's leadership — especially Al Romine and Scot Chatron — are, plain and simple, liars. They allow the selling of discounted packages and "releases." They claim publicly they are going to put a stop to it, to level the playing field, but they never had intentions of stopping it. Do a quick google search on coastal discounts and you'll find the problem rampant. It cost me at least a hundred thousand dollars in lost business.
Even worse, they claim their packages do more than they do, that they are more than they are.
It all came to a head for me when I sent two of my reps to an official coastal vacations event and Scot Chatron lied in front of a roomful of people to my reps. They both returned and walked away and urged me to do the same. But I am no quitter. I attempted, a dozen times, to resolve the deceit and bring a righteousness to the overt words and actions of people who allegedly cared and were going to fix the problems. All I got was the same smokescreens I put up with for over a year of my life as I invested my heart and soul into the company.
I visited Kissimmee Florida. Their address is a UPS store mailbox. There is no company. The whole thing is a house of cards run by snake oil salesmen.
I waited over a year and a half to write this report so I was dispassionate about it. The above is far too kind for what I witnessed and experienced.
Anyone who gets into Coastal Vacations — if it even still exists — is destined to walk away feeling all kinds of ick in far too many ways to list. If you are a person of true integrity, your relationship with Coastal Vacations will eventually have to be pushed out of your life to restore balance. That is a straight up fact.
I wish I'd listened to others on this site before ever involving myself with the company. I didn't, and I got hurt by failing to do so.
It's not just any certain rep. It's the so-called "company" whose ownership you can never even discover, let alone fully understand and investigate.
