I fell for a scam and it sounds exactly like those who listed prior to myself. My fiance and I were planning our honeymoon and wanted to go to Florida. We saw an add in the paper, called the number and received a message indicating that the Mini Getaways agency would be handling the vacation deal due to the divorce the couple was going through.
We called the other number and spoke to Lisa of Mini Getaways and learned about the three different vacations. Only $289 for the 3 vacations and only pay a $49 booking fee; 45 days advance notice for the vacations or else a $75 fee.
I bought the package a couple days ago, and recently read the reports on this website. I already stopped payment and am filing a claim with my bank in order to get my money back. My bank worked well with me, but now all I have to do is get a hold of Mini Getaways and tell them I cancelled the payment. I plan on calling tomorrow and continue calling until I get feedback!
Please, please, please do not fall for stuff like this. I know how great it is to hear all the things you can get for a small amount of money, but don't fall for it! Check it out and don't jump on an opportunity just because it's there.
