This is almost an identical situation as Report #454809 - this one involved an ad on Horsetopia.com about a free Friesian horse - we had several e-mails back and forth discussing how much they loved the horse and had to move and wanted a good home for the animal, etc. Etc. (The phone number given in the add was not in service, so we dealt by e-mail only.)
The only problem was the transportation - they wanted to ship the horse to us via air flight (for the comfort of the horse) - for a price of $400 - by a money-gram from Wal-Mart. We were told to be sure to use the "casual money-gram" which can be cashed in 15 minutes.
The e-mail they sent us (because the guy on the phone could not be understood), had a phone number which was international from Cameroon.
Needless to say we stopped the whole proceedings. (Never look a gift horse in the mouth?)
