World wide travelers called me on December saying that they have a contract with Bank of America and because I have a checking account with Bank of America I win a 3 day vacation. They asked me to give out my checking account number and told me that they will send me all the information regarding the vacation by mail. I will have to confirm with them in 14days if I like the package or not. I did not receive any information through mail and I saw a charge on my checking account on 01/09/09 of $149.
I tried calling the World Wide Travelers more than 40 times. I tried leaving a message, but it always says that the voicemail is full, and so I couldn't even leave a message. Then I spoke to the Check Fraud Claim department in Bank of America and told them the whole situation. An agent called Lia Calderon (1-866-850-1854 x93015) was taking care of my claim. She somehow got in touch with the World Wide Travelers and they told her that they were ready to refund my money back but I had to talk to them and request. And so I called them again but nobody picked up.
After 12 tries I finally got through and I told them that I was offered a vacation package, but I still had not got any information or receipt regarding it. I explained to him that my account had been charged too. The agent on the phone from World Wide Traveler replied that he will have to send this report to his senior and will get back to me in 48hrs. I never heard from them again. And so I called them back after 48 hrs and as usual nobody answered the call. I called back the agent at Bank of America and told what had happened and she told me that they could not help me. I paid the $149 and some late fees.
Few days later on 02/03/09 the World Wide travelers charged me $69 again! I have no idea what this charge was for. I tried calling the World wide Travelers and nobody answered. Then I tried to contact Bank of America and they made me go from one associate to another more than 10 times. Basically I haven't got a reply from Bank of America too as to why I was charged that extra 70$. Once again on 03/19/09 World Wide Travelers charged me $149! For don't know what reason!
This is ridiculous! They keep charging me again and again. They have already debited my account to the tune of 367$ and in addition I have had to pay 105$ in overdraft fees because of their transactions. I am just a student studying in a community college and I really can't afford all these charges. This is a lot of money for me. Can you please help me get my money back.
