Vacation Galleria of Minnetonka, MN calls up telling you that just for listening to their 90 minute representation, you get a free 2 night, 3 day stay in Vegas or Florida. As any sucker would do for that word "Free" my boyfriend and I went. Well over the phone this guy was asking me some questions. Do I make over $40,000.00? No, I said. Am I married? No, but engaged. Do you live with your fiance? No. Well all of a sudden the qualifications changed.
We could now be accepted if we combined both our wages to make over $40,000.00, then he told me to put my name on an envelope with my fiance's name and send it to his house, and then show the envelope when we came in that night for the representation. Sounds pretty fishy right there. Anyway, we had this great speaker, made everything sound so glamorous and beautiful. He told us of trips he's taken for a few hundred dollars that would cost the normal person almost $5,000. He wrote prices on the board and passed around sheets of vacations offered at a huge discount, for example, an Alaskan cruise for $800.00, normally $10,000.00.
So of course, we were suckered in by how great it sounded. Little did we know, it took two weeks to get into their computer system so I could go online and search their website for all these special deals. Now the truth comes out. Every price listed had the word: from before it. Unlike what the salesman told us. And when you check into this trip, a small screen comes up and talks about availability and how you have to call this 1 800 #. So I did, several times. It was always busy, even in the middle of the night.
This company is a scam. They grossly exaggerate prices to deceive and mislead honest people into believing its such a great deal. You can even inherit it down to your kids. Yeah right, if there around long enough. Isn't $6500.00 a lot of money? Just think, in one night, I bet they make almost $100,000.00. Another thing is, our free trip to Vegas was a scam too. They gave us expired tickets and never told us we had to call within 30 days to sign up to use these. This company is a scam artist and they take everyone for a ride by their lies and deception.
