On December 3 in response to internet SPAM, I ordered 30 day free trial offer of Journey Pass and was to receive a FREE GIFT of Travel Navigator. I received the packet of material and when I realized it was for someone that wanted to be a travel agent, I immediately returned the merchandise. I didn't receive the FREE Travel Navigator as promised and called and after approximately 3 months I received a device that was to tell me where the next rest stop, restaurant, etc. Was located. I didn't have any trouble with being billed or not properly credited for the "ANNUAL FEE" with this INTERNET ORDER on 12-3-01 and they never questioned my returning the booklets.
Now, a year later, a $99 charge shows on my credit card for Journey Pass/Global Travel as a RENEWAL FEE. I called credit card — Discover — and Journey Pass says to look at the Activity: $2.95 on 12/4 [probably shipping charge] and $99 on 1/17 [THIS AMOUNT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADJUSTED/CREDITED-pending investigation on Discover Card]. There has been NO ACTIVITY with Journey Pass/Travel International for travel agency services. Now in December they have billed me $99 for a RENEWAL FEE. It is amazing what some BAD BUSINESSES will try to put over on consumers. I thought I just had it bad with SMILES COFFEE. Here is another RIP OFF so-called business.
