We stayed at Spirit of the North last week and had booked it through their website. We knew that the pictures would be touched up and the place would not be as nice as it looked on the web, little did we know how far off the place strayed from their web advertising.
The pet policy clearly stated $125 per pet per week, so we were prepared to pay this for our 3 dogs. It also said that all pets must be leashed and cleaned up after. When we got there we found that the owners 2 dogs ran freely and I never seen anyone following them around with a poop bag to clean up after them like we did for our dogs. That's ok though the thing that really peeved us was when we went to check out and they charged us $150 per dog. When we protested they wouldn't budge an inch with their price. We paid a hefty sum so stay in a rundown cabin for a week and to get nickel and dimed at the end for another lousy $75 just really makes me mad. Anybody thinking about choosing this resort should just go on not only are the facilities substandard but they will throw extra charges at you when you check out.
