Took my money Pennsylvania

I booked a hotel for our family vacation through cheapcaribbean.com December. After I purchased a $2000.00 plus hotel stay I discovered I had reserved the rooms for 1 night to many. I immediately phoned into the customer service center and explained what I had done. I was told "no refunds but you will have a credit of $568.00 to use and it will need to be used by 12/26/07.

I faithfully visited the site to try and book something only to find they did not fly out of an airport anywhere close to where we live. I checked the entire site repeatedly but to no avail. I decided to book just airfare as that would use the entire $568.00. When I called in I was told that was not possible. It had to be airfare/hotel package or hotel only.

I was getting desperate and so I called an asked if I could transfer the credit as my sister who was going to Belize and needed hotel. I was told no problem. We were running out of time so she called in to book the hotel as according to the web site there were rooms available where and when she needed them. It was down to the last minutes and the agent tells her "sorry we don't have any hotels in Belize" although their web site said exactly the opposite-how convenient.

I then sent an email to the agent I had been corresponding with, on December 26, asking how I could resolve this. I was sent this reply, by a different agent, on January 3 "I understand you spoke with Kate, a Help Desk agent, on 12/26/07 regarding utilizing your future credit. At this point, you were advised that you must use your credit that same day, before midnight of December 26th. Your CheapCaribbean.com future credit has expired and cannot be extended per the Terms and Conditions listed on www.CheapCaribbean.com".

In my opinion cheapcaribbean.com knew there was no way to redeem the credit due without my family paying alot more money to their site.

I think cheapcaribbean.com knew full well they had me over a barrel so to speak. They are now in possession of money which was taken from us under the guise of "Terms and Conditions".

My advice is to steer clear of cheapcaribbean.com and spend your hard earned money with a site who will give you what you pay for.
