My husband and I attended a seminar in Hillsboro, Oregon on Sept. 15th. We had been promised a complimentary cruise. We sat through a speech about how we could save lots of money and still go on 5 star vactions. We had been told that family and friends could use the membership.
The presintation told us all the good benefits and left out the import facts about the family and friends would not get the same discount and that we had to pay a $199 dollar fee to have the company do a search for each trip we wanted to take then would be put towards the trip. This is required for every request made to cover processing and search fee. The family and friends could use one of our weeks if they pay a nominal fee of $125.
Although we had been told we can use the membership as gifts for our family, misleading and leaving out the important fact that it would cost a nominal fee.
We had been told that we could call the agency and they would do all the planning and work. Then the packet that we recieved after the agreement of the membership stated that we had to fill out request forms with lots of hoops to jump through.
We had not been aware of any of this important and valid information until we signed the agreement. I feel that the company withheld valueable informatin for making a well informed decission. We also did not recieve any papers on how to cancel the agreement. We also found little errors in the contract that we had agreed to prior to the printing of the paperwork.
We had been told that we could not be given this offer unless we signed papers then. We had been given a five year trail offer for 3500 plus registration fees of 199 dollars. Then our paper work showed that we could not use any of the benefits until we paid the additional yearly fee of $225. Once again not informed of this prior to signing.
When I called on Monday to get some answers I was put to voice mail over and over again. We feel violated and mislead by a scam filled with bad customer service.
