We were victims of the Timeshare promotional holiday scam that this company markets.
We accepted a holiday offer after an internet contact which we "won" as a lucky number contestant. While having reservations about the validity of the offer initial inquiries seemed that the offer was legitmate. We paid for the trip by credit card and after payment Astar Travel were reluctant to accept any further communications from us. The Timeshare promotions aspect requirement of holiday package is greatly understated & indeed consumes a great part of the "holiday" that we PAID for.
The rental car reservation through Alamo Rental Cars at Orlando Airport was not honoured and we received no refund. Their attitude was arrogant & rude, and their petulant supervisor refusing to accommodate any other provision.
These Astar Timeshare promotions are not value for money holidays and can be purchased through legitimate travel agents who will supply much better packages.
Word of advice to those attending Timeshare promotions - don't purchase any Timeshare ownership until the final offer. You will be able to buy at 10cents in the dollar!
