Grandcrowne Travel Network - Grandcrowne Travel ripoff is the epitomy of scam and deceitful promises made to Older People in their limited years of travel

We were lied to and charged almost five thousand dollars for a travel service which has not yet been honored or adhered to. We had promises about getting a travel book every year and also email about the white board specials.
We were solicited to hear the high pressure pitch in Branson in Nov. Of 2004.

We were told that other family members names could be on it and they have never recieved any information, card or communication at all.

We have a grandson who is a World Champion Waterskier and holds the world record in Overall events. He can get any accomodations much cheaper than they have quoted us, so we have not bothered to even talk to them as we were so disappointed with the price of the flight to Norway two years ago

Our family were very sad to hear what we had done as they already knew the reputation and can travel all over the world for far less than their deals allow.
I used it to go to Norway buying two tickets and paid one fourth more for the flight than I could have the week before, thinking I would get some points and a better fare. They automatically charged a yearly fee on my credit card unbeknown to me until I got the bill.
The pressure was great after talking to three different sets of people and then being sent to another building to hear the travel service story with a $60 bonus to listen, and ending up spending almost $5,000 for a very worthless service.

We were tied up for over four hours, promised many things that never did happen or come. They have initiated nothing in the way of the yearly book that had all of the places to go etc. That was a big lie with no intention of sending it. I did call about it the next year and they said to get on the internet and look for myself where we could go or call them. ;- (
We go to TX in the winter and there was no where around our area that had any kind of resort or hotel to use with Grandcrowne Travel.

I had to wait many days to get the answers when I talked to them.

We had a young boy wanting to take me back to the Hotel room to get my credit card to make the deal and he said I should not tell them that we had an RV as that was not qualifying us to buy. I should have known right then that we were in a mess, a big red flag. We also were just seventy years old and had no business doing this transaction. We read the small print briefly and it said you couldn't change your mind on this, that it was binding. Another red flag which proves we were very stupid.

$5,000 is a lot of money for us to to lose in our retirement years and would hate to see many more people get scammed like we did.

We would love to see some retribution and justice on this matter.

We have been advised to contact the BBB, Fleecing America, FTC, Comsumer Protection and the Atty. General of MO. I think a Class Action suit would be in order very soon to illiminate this kind of theft being repeated for other innocent, uniformed customers.
Some people use these things for tax write offs and we don't have that opportunity owning a big business.
Please inform us if there is anyway we can be compensated in this matter.
