I recently FELL for this same vacation. I agreed to it, even though the so call FREE trip was to cost $498.00, and 100.00 additional for my 1 child, and 129.00 for my 2nd older child. Didn't seem too bad at the time.
When I received the packet of information, I read it over and found my free cruise was no longer free. It included numerous "hidden charges" I had no idea I was going to have to pay, ex. Port charges, gratuities at $19.50 per person, (or ship people who at this time hadn't done anything yet), parking fees for our car while it sat in a parking lot while we were on this vacation, and numerous other things which added up to a whole lot.
After the 3 days I had to review my packet, my husband and I decided we were not willing to take this so called FREE vacation anymore, so I sent it back to them CERTIFIED MAIL, so they couldn't say they didn't receive it. (This was, to me, insuring the fact I was to receive my refund and I had proof they received it.) YEAH RIGHT!!!
After nearly 3 weeks and no refund, I called this Pathetic Imperial Majesty Cruise Vacation, and the girl I spoke with said I was in no way going to get my money back. (She was rude beyond belief. Must be part of her job description). She said I had not mailed it back in the 3 days, which I argued the fact that I had and had proof of their signature, she still claimed that I hadn't and in that case, I should have overnighted the piece to them.
After explaining they were full of crap, I asked her if she would like me to read to her all of the complaints on this website about their bogus vacation cruise and she said, "why don't you google Walmart and Burger King, you'll find complaints about them too." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. That's how they respond to people.
Needless to say, I told her I would be contacting a lawyer and she said, "Do what you have to but there is no way you are getting your refund back from us." I was treated like a criminal, instead of the victim I was.
At this point, the only thing I could do was contact my Visa card and see if they had any way they could pull back their payment they made to this fraudulent place. They are going to send me a dispute form to fill out with all this information I spoke of and see what happens from there. I am still waiting for the form, but you can bet it will be filled out ASAP.
All I can see, Is PLEASE, PLEASE, anyone who is even thinking about considering this vacation, don't walk, but RUN as fast as you can from these people. Once they have your money, it's all over from there. What I can't understand is that the Ramada Plaza Resort is on the BBB for hundreds of complaints about this place, but they're still in business. How can this be? This place needs to be shut down before anymore people get ripped off, maybe of their last few dollars they have let. Believe me, they'll take it from you.
