When shopping around for vacation rentals I found that this was a great deal compared to the competition. I later learned that they were able to do this by. Keeping your damage deposit!
While at the house (which is of acceptable quality and was very clean) we had a fine time. The gazebo on the beach is in no way associated with the house and I am not sure it exists (the beach is two blocks away which they correctly state on the page) but the picture is a bit misleading.
Long story short - damage deposit was withheld (a fact which I was made aware of only when I called a month later to check on status) although both parties agreed there was no damage. When discussing this fact Trevor Ladner hung up the phone and stopped answering calls. Posting this fact on a blog I heard back from two different parties that they had the same experience with that rental house.
The rental was fine, clean, nice pool. Area was nice, safe. Price is very reasonable but make sure you factor the damage deposit into your calculations because they definitely have.
