Hyatt Vacation Club
Unauthorize withdrawal of funds and refusal to refund my deposit.
1 unauthorzed withdrawl of funds by Hyatt vacation club on 11/1
2 refusal to refund my intial deposit of 87.76
we could not make our intial date for visit due to my
husbands being called to work for an emergency.
Because I called inside the two week deadline the company would not refund my deposit but suggested I rescedualed. Which I did for a time 3 months in the future.
I called once again outside of the two week deadline and asked for a refund. I was told NO that I could reschedule again I said okay. Then was put on hold for few minutes when the appointment person returned I was told that my OLD reservatin had been terminated and a new one had been made at a diffrent resort.
When I checked my bank account that evening I discovered that Hyatt vacations had taken an addtional 87.76 out of my bank account without my approval.
Called Hyatt vacations on 11-2 and was told YES a new reservation was made in my name and NO they would not refund the deposit.
They did refund the second 87.76 that they had withdrawn on 11-1 2005 but refused to refund my intial deposit of 87.76 even though they admitted that they had made me a NEW reservation which canceled out my first reservation and should have qualified me for a refund.
I reported this matter to FTC and got an unsatisfactory response I find the FTC not to be as effecive as it was under the Clinton adminstration when I had to report to them other matters.
