I frequently travel to europe and tried lufthansa in april of this year. Recommend everyone not to use lufthansa. I specifically called them to ask about luggage restrictions. They told ne that i was allowed 2 check in luggage not to exceed 40 kilo total. When i was at the airport they charged me $25 extra luggage fee because one luggage was 3 kilo over the 20 kilo per item (which the telephone agent nevber told me about) even though my combined luggage weight was 35 kilos (less than 40 kg). When i tried to reason with the counter clerk she acted as if i was bothering her and asked me to pay the extra luggage fee or move out of the counter so she can deal with other customers. Not wanting to create a scene i paid the fee. This is a total rip-off.
