I was unfortunate enough to receive a phone call from an automated service in feb. 06' saying i had won a prize & to hold on the line to find out more.
I was then put through to a fast talking american voice congradulations I had won a holiday package at a heavily discounted price & and to please write all the details down.
6 days in orlando
3 days in daytona, a 3 day cruise etc etc.
When explaining I had 5 kids and only 2 weeks at xmas to take holidays[the package was for 2adults & 2 kids only]I was told for a small additional cost this would all be accomidated.in fact any potential problem always had an answer. IT was tailored to our needs &even had the added bonus of them being able get us flights at an 80% discount once a date was finalised & some people except the package for this reason alone.
This is what sold me because my husband and I have always wanted to travel but airfares would be to much with 5 kids let alone any thing else. I thought this would be one of the only ways we would ever be able to take the kids on an overseas holiday. When they asked for credit card details to secure the package I felt caution.
I asked if I could get details eg: paper work, a contract etc to show my husband 1st. I was promtly put through to a supervisor who added 5 days in cancun mexico just for being put through to him & explained this deal was only available then & there but had a 100% gauretee and once we received the paper work and decided against we would not be charged. And the credit card was just security for them.
I still was nervous and wouldn't do the recorded message when i was then put through to a manager who hardly spoke english but got through that by law there was a 30 day cooling down period and I had his full gaurentee & he woulde phone me 10days when the papers arrived and I could cancel if I needed to.
Any way the long and now the short of it is that I did hand over my details believing all that they promised. Have received nothing but empty promises & a day after call had an amount of $1046 us taken from my credit card[more then even told in 1st place]no papers, no access to site with given codes, no refund, no promised phone calls & every time I call them a different well planned excuse every time! DONT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE. It's gone through the fraud dep who are investigating. No answers as yet.
