The company bills under the names: Agent Travel Network, Florida Passport, and Teliflex—and all are based in Florida.
Yesterday our checking account was compromised and three checks ($49.95; $59.95; $149.00) were processed without our authorization. It looks like this started 30 days ago when my wife received an unsolicited telephone call. My wife is innocent; these companies are very effective at getting people to share information.
Their ruse convinced her to verify information. It sounds like they were convincing enough to prompt her to offer new information as well. She did not believe she was authorizing charges. She did not see a red flag. Faithfully, she had informed me of the call that day. She told me she thought it was connected to our bank or to my office. I neglected to assess if she shared information with them. I assumed it was a time share promotion. I never saw the red flag.
Yesterday 3 checks were processed against our bank account.
I am visiting my bank branch today to see how we can reverse this damage.
With all my heart, I ask God to level this company. Lord, bring it down! Only He knows how many people have fallen into this trap. And I am confident that many have not noticed it or known how to dispute it.
